Greenfield State Park
- Who:Skill level is for Cub Scout, Boy Scout,
and Venturing -aged boys.
- Where: Located on Route 136 in Greenfield,
just off Route 202 between Peterborough and Hillsborough.
- Description: Scouts will be able to camp, hike, swim,
fish, canoe or kayak in this 400 acre State Park. With over 300
campsites including 5 group areas, Greenfield State Park can
accommodate any sized group. Facilities include campsites with
fire rings & picnic tables, flush toilets, shower building,
camp store (with Ice Cream!!!), canoe and kayak rentals,
hiking trails, a beaver pond, 2 swimming areas (with lifeguards)
on Otter Lake (NO motors allowed). This area is excellent for
those on their first camping experience or for those who want
to practice Patrol camping. A terrific weekend is when Eastern
Mountain Sports headquartered in Peterborough offers
"Try Before You Buy" watercraft day. All canoes and
kayaks are available for demonstration and free trial.
